Bugatti just brought one of its icons – a Veyron Super Sport – back to life.
They did so with the Pur Sang heritage program, and it was done beautifully.
The car looks like it was built yesterday, even though it is actually around 16 years old.
And the mileage will surprise you.
A bit more about La Maison Pur Sang
Like other automakers, Bugatti has its own in-house customization program, but it also has a heritage program.
Specifically, La Maison Pur Sang (not to be confused with the Veyron model of the same name) exists to certify, verify, and, if needs be, restore icons.

For example, a while back, a collector bought eight Bugattis in one go, including a Pur Sang-certified Veyron.
These cars are bought almost exclusively by collectors, which is why such a program makes sense.
It’s an additional step to guarantee the value of the hypercar customers buy and own.

This Bugatti Veyron is actually a high-mileage car
This Veyron joins the elite list of supercars with incredibly high mileage, alongside the Lamborghini Murciélago formerly owned by UK magazine EVO, and the Ferrari Enzo with over 100,000 miles on the clock.
What you’re looking at here is a 2010 Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition.
Specifically, it’s a factory pre-series development vehicle, which means that it was used for global testing, media launches, and the original development that led to the 431.072km/h (267.8mph) record.

As a result, this Veyron has accumulated over 70,800km – equivalent to around 44,000 miles.
That’s huge for a hypercar of this caliber.
Now, it has been returned to its original 2010 specification, with a fresh, clear coat over its black carbon fiber and a refresh of its iconic orange accents.
Some internal electronics and radiators were also updated to the final production standards to ensure they’re actually street-legal.

Unfortunately, this isn’t for sale.
The car was restored for a specific loyal customer, not for a museum or a showroom floor.
