The Apple Watch is one of the tech giant’s most famous products on offer, thanks to multiple uses in both everyday life and sporting activities.

Due to the price, though, there are lots of dupes and fakes on the market, from sites such as Temu.

So, to really see what the main differences were between a real and a fake, one man put them to the test.

He went all out and even put both devices through a CT scanner to see the build type and components used.

The Apple Watch: Here’s what you really need to know

The Apple Watch is one of the most versatile devices on the market, and spans over 11 generations.

First released in 2015, the device has been part of the company’s offering for over a decade.

But what can you really use it for?

Well, the obvious one is to tell the time, but you can also use it to make phone calls, check iMessages, browse photos, receive notifications from your phone, and even record your sporting activities.

However, due to the numerous capabilities of the Apple Watch, it carries a price tag that can go over $1,000.

So, to save money, people sometimes opt for cheaper dupes that don’t quite perform as well.

One YouTuber, Inside Everything, decided to test a real Apple Watch versus a Temu Apple Watch under a CT scanner to see what was really different.

The battle of the devices commenced between Apple and Temu

First of all, the creator explained that the real Apple Watch had a lot more going on and, in general, was more densely packed.

The real deal had 20 devices on the circuit board, whereas the fake watch had just four chips on the entire board.

When it came to being waterproof, the Apple Watch was a better option, with the YouTuber joking that he simply wouldn’t even try to wash his hands with it on, just in case.

The encoder was also cheaper and impossible to repair on the Temu buy, and would ultimately deteriorate over time.

The fake Apple Watch wasn’t all bad, though, as the Temu buy still had some impressive tech elements, but the real deal was more advanced and reliable.

The battery and heart rate sensor were different on the Apple version versus the dupe, too, with smaller elements and fewer sensors on the cheaper product.

Overall, even though the fake Apple Watch provides a cheap alternative to the real thing, the authentic watch has a more premium appearance, higher-quality components, and a far greater technical ability.

For those who are just seeking an electronic watch without added elements, the Temu buy may be your choice.

After all, $1,000 is a lot to spend on a device used to tell the time.
