The new $320,000 'Project Thunderball' electric car is inspired by James Bond

Wiesmann is back after a 13-year hiatus with a brand-new model dubbed ‘Project Thunderball’ that can hit 0-60 in under 3 seconds.
Visually, it definitely looks like a Wiesmann. The company’s Instagram is littered with comparisons to the iconic James Bond flick, Thunderball.
The brand new car ditches the BMW-sourced engines traditionally used in Wiesmann cars. The new Project Thunderball is powered by electricity.

Founded in Germany in 1988, Wiesmann made a name for itself making unique sportscars with BMW V8 and V10 powertrains.
Fans of the brand will appreciate the fact that Project Thunderball borrows a lot of design cues from its predecessor, the 2009 MF5, including Wiesmann’s signature grill and the muscular shapes.
It is powered by two electric motors with a range of 500 km (310 miles) and a combined power output of 680 hp and 810 ft-lb of torque, with a 0-60 time of just 2.9 seconds.
This means it is the fastest car Wiesmann ever produced, by a considerable margin.
The cabin combines modern elements like the digital instrument cluster with vintage accents such as the quilter leather upholstery for the seats and the carpets and seven (!) individual gauges and dials on the dashboard.
The Wiesmann Project Thunderball costs $320,000 and that, in today’s market, is almost reasonable.
