Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather are ‘very close’ to a multi-million dollar rematch.

McGregor appeared to hint at a return to the ring when he wrote “I accept” alongside a photo of the pair’s first match on his social media.

“The deal is very close to being done. Personal terms have been agreed by both parties,” a source says.

“[Floyd] believes it will be the biggest night boxing will have ever seen and has been saying ‘people best be ready because it’s going to be something spectacular’.”

The source told The Sun McGregor would only accept the fight if Mayweather puts his unbeaten record on the line because he wants it to be an actual fight rather than an exhibition.

The Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor rematch will also reportedly be set at 155lbs (70.3kg), meaning McGregor will need to cut weight significantly.

The MMA Irish professional currently tips the scales at more than 190lbs (86.2kg) after breaking his leg.

Mayweather reportedly pocketed about $250 million for the pair’s first fight, with McGregor netting $100 million.

After the match, Mayweather said it was the “easiest 9 figures I ever made”.
