There must be something about this beautiful California mansion that just works for musicians.

It was once owned by the late rocker Tom Petty, and it is now owned by Selena Gomez.

When it comes to real estate, Selena Gomez set herself apart from the average Hollywood celeb because this mansion is subtle.

At least by California standards.

Having said that, this manse is still huge.

It spans over 11,000 square feet and comprises six bedroms and eleven bathrooms.

Located in the affluent neighborhood of Encino in the San Fernando Valley, this mansion is basically a small town within a town.

It has its own gym, massage room, outside swimming pool, and wine cellar.

Last but not least, it also has an in-home recording studio.

The mansion was first designed in 1989 for Tom Petty but it has been remodeled and refurnished a few times since.

However, it is still a musician’s home and it shows.

In addition to the recording studio, there are pianos and drum kits scattered around the house.

Not to mention the music-themed memorabilia and awards that adorn the walls.

In terms of interior design and home decor, it is elegant and tasteful.

And again, this is not a given when it comes to celebrities.

It combines hardwood floor and rustic wood planks for the ceiling with modern elements such as the massive kitchen island with a marble top.

Her kitchen was actually featured in her cooking show titled ‘Selena + Chef’.

Selena Gomez bought this mansion back in 2020 but only moved in about a year later.

Back when she bought house, Selena explained the reason why she took a while to actually move in during an Instagram live.

She said she was still living in her Studio City property because she didn’t feel comfortable relocating due to California’s lockdown.

The property she used to live in was later listed for $2.8m.
