In California, ChatGPT played a huge role in recovering a stolen Lamborghini Huracán after the owner enlisted AI’s help.

Sadly, a Californian man’s Lamborghini was stolen and nowhere to be seen, but after receiving a DM on Instagram and getting his hands on some pictures, the owner managed to eventually find his stolen supercar.

Thanks to a clever command and hard work, ChatGPT led to the reunion of the century.

But it turns out that AI is being used more than you’d think within the ever-advancing car industry.

ChatGPT helped this man in California recover his stolen Lamborghini Huracán

Artificial intelligence and ChatGPT have risen in popularity over the last few years, and the technology has helped us all out in more ways than one.

From helping us to answer simple questions and even edit pictures, the tool assists many people with everyday tasks.

But one man managed to achieve something very impressive after the tool gave him a helping hand.

After his Lamborghini was stolen a couple of years ago, along with other supercars, Andrew Garcia was left heartbroken, but he had an idea.

He decided to use ChatGPT to recover his stolen Lamborghini Huracán EVO.

In a turn of events, he received a mysterious DM through Instagram as he’d left a business card in the car, and someone was trying to source more impressive cars from him, asking if he’d actually sold the car.

Andrew managed to get photos of the car and decided to ask AI to help him locate it.

He gave the command:

“Don’t focus on the Lamborghini, focus on the vehicle in the background that’s blurred”.

And, as a result of his efforts, he was able to locate the car in Denver, Colorado.

“It was surreal, using technology that we have now, that anybody can use, to locate the car,” he told CBS 8 San Diego.

Andrew then managed to tip off authorities in Colorado and set off to recover his beloved Lamborghini.

But, as the investigation is still ongoing, the real culprit in Colorado reportedly remains a mystery.

“This proactive intelligence gathering is a really great benefit to helping recover stolen vehicles,” Cale Gould, Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Authority spokesperson, said when speaking to CBS 8.

AI is giving a huge helping hand to the car industry

It’s no secret that artificial intelligence has risen in popularity over the last few years, with many uses within the car world.

From voice-activated driving systems to even automated modes, which enable the car to drive itself.

For example, Tesla recently introduced the ‘Hey, Tesla’ wake word for its voice assistant in China.

And let’s not forget Vittori’s AI-built hypercar, set to be revealed on October 4th.

For now, though, catch all the ChatGPT action below.
