Chevrolet has just unveiled the 2026 Camaro ZL1.
The update comes hot off the heels of the chariot that powered Kyle Larson to the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series title.
It’s been the topic of much debate and anticipation.
And it’s finally here – with a bold new body and performance-inspired design.

2026 Camaro ZL1 has arrived
Ladies and gentlemen, the 2026 Camaro ZL1 is officially here.
In fairness, it never actually left.
But you might be wondering – how is the Camaro ZL1 still competing in NASCAR?
As all car fans know – and some still mourn – the Chevrolet Camaro is no more.
It was discontinued back in 2024.
As a result, Chevrolet needed special approval to update the car in order to keep racing it.
Of course, these updates are necessary to keep pace with its championship rivals.
Unlike Chevrolet, the Camry from Toyota and Ford’s Mustang are both very much still alive and kicking.
So keeping the car updated is, to put it simply, absolutely vital.

Speaking of – what updates are here with the new, 2026 Camaro ZL1?
The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series car comes with a redesigned grille, new rocker panels, and a larger power dome hood.
In order to give it production appeal, Chevrolet released something special.
The American marque unveiled a $17,495 Carbon Performance Package for existing Camaro ZL1 owners.
This package echoes the upgrades and updates made to the racing machine.
They include rocker extensions, a new splitter, a spoiler, and a new hood insert.
These are all crafted out of carbon fiber.
Chevy’s NASCAR weapon spotted testing
When word spread that a new NASCAR Cup Series weapon was coming from Chevrolet, excitement quickly spread.
Ultimately, that announcement was the new and updated Camaro ZL1.
And Chevrolet hasn’t exactly been sitting on their hands since Kyle Larson’s championship success.
In fact, one of the new Camaros has already been spotted testing at Bristol Motor Speedway.
It was seen on the track during a behind-closed-doors tire test.

The car in question was the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Camaro ZL1 driven by Alex Bowman.
Other cars in attendance included an RFK Racing Ford Mustang, as well as a 23XI Racing Toyota Camry.
All of the cars were testing the new 750hp short track package that is coming in 2026.
They were also testing various different tire compounds.
The new, 2026 Camaro ZL1 is expected to make its debut at the Cook Out Clash on February 1st at Bowman Grey Stadium.
It will then make its championship debut at the season-opening Daytona 500 on February 15th.
