This guy in Maryland bought a Chevrolet Camaro SS for just $6,600.
That sounds good but it gets better because of the surprise that the previous owner left behind.
For a very specific reason, the engine in this Camaro is probably worth more than the entire car.
And this gave the buyer an idea.

The engine in this Camaro is worth more than the car
Lee Carter, ScrapLifeLee on YouTube, found a used Chevy Camaro in Maryland for $6,600.
That’s a steal for a Chevrolet Camaro, especially a Camaro SS, but it was even better on this occasion for a very specific reason.
It turned out the previous owner had installed a supercharger setup resembling that of the 638-horsepower Corvette ZR1, making it even faster and more powerful.

The news made Lee change his plan about the car.
He decided to strip the car for parts, sell off components like the interior, body panels and potentially the setup, but keep the engine and supercharger.
With our math hat on, we would conclude he essentially got himself an engine and supercharger worth between four and five figures (nearly) for free.
Not his first rodeo

Carter does this sort of thing all the time.
His YouTube channel mostly revolves around risky buys, especially muscle cars.
He generally pulls it off, though.
He did it with the Boss 302 Mustang, a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 and the cheapest Challenger Hellcat Redeye.
He occasionally also takes a break from muscle cars to focus on other vehicles.
A while back, he bought a Toyota Supra just because he used to own one and regretted selling it.
A modern-day hero.
