The new Chevrolet Corvette has properly taken the car world by storm.
America’s marquee sports car offering has appeared to have been received extremely well.
As a matter of fact, it is even being received positively in the most unlikely of places.
And that’s because General Motors has enjoyed its best sales month in this region since 2015.

The Middle East appears to be a welcome market for GM
Okay, at this point, you’re probably asking yourself – where on Earth is this level of success coming from?
Well, it appears that the traditional image of the American sports car is being completely changed.
For one thing, the C8 Chevrolet Corvette has become a legitimate contender to Europe’s finest.
And it now appears that the Middle East agrees – because the Corvette is selling like hot cakes in that region.
It turns out that the Chevrolet Corvette has just enjoyed its best sales in the Middle East for a decade.

That’s right – the Corvette has just had its best-ever sales month in the Middle East since 2015.
This remarkable sales breakthrough also could not have come at a better time for the Detroit brand.
Domestic sales of the Chevrolet Corvette dropped in Q2 of 2025 by 38 percent, to 5,801 units.
It means that the Middle East has emerged as a very unexpected market for the sports car.
Why is the Chevrolet Corvette suddenly so popular?
So what exactly has led to the boom in popularity for the Corvette in this particular part of the world?
For one thing, the mid-engine performance has seriously put the cat amongst the pigeons for GM.
It offers legitimate supercar performance at a fraction of the conventional cost of rival brands.
That is even with the considerable hike in starting price – $93,000 in the UAE compared to a $70,000 base price in the US.

Additionally, the shift in philosophy from highway-bound muscle car to mid-engine supercar has made a massive change.
This shift has widened the target customer base for the Chevrolet Corvette – and it has worked very well.
The Middle East/UAE could prove to be a market very much worth investing in for General Motors in the months and years to come.
