A next-gen car wash from China that can leave cars spotless in just seconds has been going viral all over the internet thanks to its efforts on a Honda Accord.

China seems to be leading the way in many parts of the automotive world, particularly when it comes to EVs.

But a next-gen car wash in the country has recently gone viral in a video gaining millions of viewers on X.

It left a Honda sedan absolutely spotless in just a few seconds.

How does the next-gen car wash in China clean cars so fast?

The Honda Accord is seen entering a bay in the clip, and there are high-pressure jets of water blasting up from the floor.

These jets clean the undercarriage and wheels of the Honda.

A mist engulfs the car, and you can visibly see the dirt and grime being blasted away.

Robotic arms then come out, and these are employed to clean the car’s body, with nozzles spraying the water.

Foam detergent covers the car, with the arms coming back to release more water across the bodywork.

These arms rapidly wash away all the foam and dirt, leaving the Honda pretty much spotless by the end of the video.

That alone leaves us agog at how incredible this wash is.

Is this technology really new?

Some in the comments section said that this technology is nothing new.

In many ways, they are actually right.

Car wash technology such as this has existed throughout Europe, Australia, and the United States for decades.

We will all have seen automatic washes at gas stations or as isolated units dotted around that we can go to.

Systems like PDQ’s LaserWash 360 Plus or chains like Tommy’s Express also provide very thorough car washes.

These typically take around 3-5 minutes to wash a car, which isn’t exactly slow.

But it is nothing compared to the mere seconds it takes this Chinese next-gen wash to clean the Honda Accord.

Scale and integration make China’s car wash better

China’s car washes seem to be doing superbly thanks to the EV boom.

Reports online suggest that these car washes are even being integrated with charging stations.

You can recharge your EV in just a few minutes and then have the car washed in perhaps 60 seconds or less.

AI-enhanced systems, some worth up to $25,000 a unit, are also being used to power these incredible car washes.

It is a truly remarkable achievement, and it’s incredible to see just how far the technology has come.

China is effectively doing with its car wash technology what it has done with EVs.

It has taken technology that already exists, invested heavily in it, and taken it to a whole new level.

Western automotive manufacturers were already worried about being left behind in the EV race.

Now, we might have to add car washes to that list as well.
