As far as car junkyards go, most of them are only good as eye candy despite all the classic cars being at their absolute worst — and this car junkyard in Ohio makes for an extremely sad sight.

This place is actually a wrecking lot where cars come for crushing, and someone decided to visit the place.

It was located deep within the woods, and you could see classic cars and old ‘everyday’ rides scattered throughout the woods.

One key detail, however, stands out when it comes to this place — and we’re not sure how to react to that.

Ohio car junkyard full of classic cars

The host of the YouTube channel Hatch’s Recreational Engineering was in Ohio for work when he took a detour and visited a wrecking shop he knew about.

He was there to refresh his memory and film all the classic cars rotting in the junkyard for decades.

Naturally, places like this usually have large lots filled to the brim with cars that have reached the end of their lives.

All these machines get scrapped in due time because there are only so many cars that even a junkyard can fill.

Not this one, though.

This location, known as ‘Stark Wrecking,’ has been operational since the 1950s and still holds its original collection today.

Most cars that are good for parts get them taken out, but those that are beyond even that are just sitting all over the woods.

The unfortunate fate of iconic vehicles

We’ve seen our fair share of car junkyards, and while some still have a decent collection of usable vehicles, this one doesn’t exactly qualify — at least the majority of the collection.

Sure, you may sometimes find extremely rare classic cars, but that doesn’t happen all the time.

The video that the YouTuber posted showed several iconic names, including several examples of the Chevy Chevelle, Chevy Impala, and dozens of Corvettes.

However, all of these had seen better days, and it was only good for sightseeing — if you’re into that.

This all-out collection of GM classic cars certainly seems wild in contrast.

If you spend enough time in this car junkyard, you may find some usable parts, but it seems like a hard stretch.

Well, it’s a flaunty collection for some, at least.
