A Colorado driver was relying on his GPS for his journey.

Like most of us, they were simply trying to get to their destination.

Unfortunately, their GPS had slightly different ideas.

Because this Colorado driver ended up stuck on a ski slope.

Colorado is home to a lot of different things.

The Centennial State is known by many for its variety of sporting teams.

It’s also renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty.

Car fans, in particular, revere Colorado because it is home to Pikes Peak.

The International Hill Climb has taken place annually since 1916.

Today’s story, however, is as a result of a slightly different type of hill climb.

Aside from sports and the Hill Climb, Colorado is also beloved for skiing.

Ski towns such as Aspen, Vail, and Breckenridge are renowned for skiing and snowboarding.

Keystone Resort in Colorado recently went viral on the internet.

But it didn’t go viral for an epic snowboard run or a skiing slalom.

Instead, it actually went viral because of a car – specifically, where it was parked.

This driver was following their GPS to try to get to Keystone.

They were specifically trying to make it to Keystone employee housing.

Unfortunately for the driver, the GPS had slightly different ideas, like the time one woman ended up 900 miles from her destination.

Instead of employee housing, it brought this Colorado driver to the bottom of the Schoolmarm ski run.

As night turned to morning, the resort awoke to find the car at the Mountain House Base Area.

Summit County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene.

The Colorado driver told the Sheriffs that their GPS was to blame.

They explained that they accidentally drove onto the ski run and got stuck in the snow.

Because the driver was on permitted ski resort property, they managed to avoid a citation.

Thankfully, the story ends positively, with the car getting safely removed from the snow.

The Sheriff’s Office appeared to get a good laugh out of the situation, at least.
