Owning a Chevy Chevelle Malibu SS is a cool experience in its own right.

Happening to own one for so long that you’ve got a speeding ticket in every state is a different level entirely.

That is exactly what has happened over the years to one Connecticut man.

And the story of his journey is genuinely unbelievable.

The Chevrolet Chevelle SS is one of the true icons of the muscle car class.

First released for the 1964 model year, the Chevelle was Chevrolet’s entry into the muscle car market.

The Malibu was the top-of-the-range offering, and the ‘SS’ came as the ‘Super Sport’ option.

As a result, this car comes with the 283-cubic-inch V8 engine and four-speed manual transmission.

And one Connecticut native just had to get in on the muscle car action.

Dominick Mirabelle was around 19 or 20 years old when he bought his car.

He also happened to be the buyer of a Chevy Chevelle Malibu SS when it was released.

In a YouTube video with CT Insider, Dominick and his Chevelle were the star story.

He explained that his car actually taught him how to drive a stick shift.

“Bought it brand new and I never knew how to drive a standard,” Mirabelle said.

“When I took it out of Loehmann’s, all I did was grind gears.”

Growing up in Waterbury, Connecticut, Domnick has owned his car for over 60 years.

And he has hilariously described how he owns a speeding ticket from every single state.

“Lots of speeding tickets…one ticket in every state going down to Florida,” he explained.

Dominick’s Chevelle SS has survived almost unscathed for almost 60 years, but had a major upgrade five years ago.

“Cost me a pretty penny to do it, too,” he said.

“I did it from ground up. I did everything. Replaced anything that needed to be replaced. Even the engine.”

This is an extremely cool car, and it is very cool to see Dominick keeping his iconic car alive.
