This man received one of the best surprises ever, and it was a shiny 1973 Corvette Stingray — a car that he absolutely admired back in the 1970s.
Gifts like these can go a long way, especially if it’s from children giving back to their parents.
This story, however, makes sure to stand out — and it’s different from anything you might have seen before.
Buckle up because, if anything, it’s a roller coaster ride.

Dad sold his sports car before his wedding
It all started back in 1976 when this man married a woman and adopted her two kids.
The entire story was shared on one of the kids’ YouTube channel, where the whole family came together to surprise him.
According to the man, he had to sell his beloved ’72 Corvette only weeks before their wedding.
After decades of staying as a family, his two children wanted to show appreciation for their dad and reunite him with his favorite car.
That’s when the girl — now all grown up — decided to look for a 1973 Corvette Stingray with her husband.
It’s certainly a task to find one these days, especially in half-decent conditions.
However, it explains why the video mentioned that it took quite a while to prepare the Corvette before the grand unveiling.
They probably found one but had to get it restored.
It even looks like it recently got a makeover with that shiny bottle green finish and neat interiors.
A shiny 1973 Corvette Stingray surprise
When it was time for the big surprise, the video showed the family walking in an empty parking lot.
The dad immediately spotted a Corvette Stingray parked across the lot, and got close to it to inspect the car.
It wasn’t long before he went on about how this Corvette Stingray was almost identical to the one he had.
He also mentioned that his Corvette had a smaller engine, but this one had a Chevy big-block 454 (7.4-liter) fitting that sent out 254 horsepower.
It was at this moment he was shown the keys to this striking Corvette, and the first thing he did was give a tight hug to his daughter and call her ‘crazy.’
Interestingly, this incident is similar to the one in which a son surprised his dad with the exact Pontiac GTO that he sold 20 years ago.
To top it all off, the daughter even got a custom license plate that read ‘YDHT’ — which expands to ‘you didn’t have to’ — referring to how he adopted and raised the kids.
Kids giving back to their parents can truly be the most emotional of moments, and it’s safe to say that they make for an excellent watch too.
