Dallas, Texas is generally considered to be a pretty nice place to live.
Unfortunately, the area is often prone to extreme, severe weather phenomena including hail storms.
Recently, one TikToker decided to take a walk through a Dallas neighborhood.
And he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the hail storm defence devices he found.

Dallas deals with wild weather – a lot
The state of Texas is one of the southern-most states in the continental United States.
It is also the second-largest U.S. state by area – second only to Alaska.
Because Texas is in the middle of a Venn diagram of multiple climate zones, it gets extremely varied weather.
Unfortunately, the city of Dallas is no exception to this rule, either.
Spring and early summer tend to see Dallas struck with terrible winds, tornadoes and hail storms.
And it is those damaging hail storms that bring us to today’s story.
TikTok user discovers Texan hail defences
In the past few days, a very interesting video has been making the rounds on the internet.
Michael Peterson runs the TikTok page @letsdorealestate.
In his latest video, Michael finds himself walking down a Dallas neighbourhood.
“OK, tell me it’s springtime in Dallas without telling me it’s springtime in Dallas,” he says.
His camera then flips to two vehicles wrapped in what can only be described as a zeppelin-like cover.

In fact, it’s a cover called a “Hail Protector” – and it acts as a cushioned barrier.
Essentially, the hail cover protects the car from top to bottom from damaging hail stones.
The video has been viewed over 400,000 times, and it had led to much intrigue.
This particular cover is from a brand called “Hail Protector”, and it retails for around $439.
We applaud the ingenuity and the innovative approach taken to protect cars from the hail.
