Delta Air Lines is bringing back the longest domestic route in the United States.
The route in question covers more than 5,000 miles.
It will also take more than 11 hours of non-stop flying.
And it will get you from the East Coast all the way to the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Delta Air Lines revives longest domestic route in United States
Okay, so you might be asking yourself one big question.
What possible domestic route in the United States could take 11 hours?
Well, this is the answer – and it takes the phrase ‘coast to coast’ to a different level.

Delta Air Lines has reclaimed the title of the longest domestic route in the United States.
And it has done so by announcing the return of flights from Boston to Honolulu, Hawaii.
The airline has announced that the non-stop service will operate from Boston Logan International Airport to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu.
These flights are set to return in time for Christmas vacation plans on December 19th, 2026.
It is set to operate four times weekly, with an increase in flights during the peak holiday period.
New route takes coast-to-coast literally
This route officially spans 5,030 miles.
This makes the Boston-Honolulu route the longest domestic route in the United States.
Delta Air Lines is planning to deploy Airbus A330-300 aircraft especially for this route because the aircraft offers higher capacity and enhanced long-haul comfort.
So why is this announcement so significant for Delta Air Lines?

The return of this route signals a renewed demand for long-haul travel to the tropical paradise.
There appears to be an especially strong demand from major metropolitan hubs along the East Coast.
Boston, in particular, has evolved into one of the biggest hubs in the northeastern United States for Delta Air Lines.
But Boston is not the only city getting renewed travel routes to Hawaii.
Delta Air Lines has also announced a new nonstop connection between Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport and Kahului Airport on the island of Maui.
But the single-biggest impact of this move is that Delta Air Lines reclaims the honor of holding the longest domestic travel route in the United States.
