A car detailer cleaning up a very old and dirty Ford F-150 made a bizarre find inside – admitting it was probably one of the wildest things he’s ever come across on the job.
The ancient Ford had been used on construction sites for a couple of decades and had recently been picked up by a new owner who was hoping to give it a new lease of life.
The filthy Ford had not had a fun few years, by the looks of it. The dirty bodywork had several large rust spots, while inside was particularly grim, filled with all kinds of rubbish and – most shockingly – a gun.

The detailer made the wild discovery inside the Ford
When it comes to old vehicles and barn finds there’s no way of knowing what you’ll find.
Sometimes this is a good thing, like in the case of the bloke of who discovered a rare 8-track cassette player inside his 1967 Pontiac GTO.
Or the guy who discovered the 1968 Chevrolet Impala that had just 63,000 miles on the clock.
Of course, not all discoveries are good, just ask the team who found the ant nest hidden away inside a filthy C5 Corvette.
And, on occasion, it seems you may also find a gun.
At least that was the case for detailer and YouTuber, Mitch, aka The Detail Geek, who said the discovery was certainly on the list of wildest things he’d come across on the job.
“I was absolutely shocked to find a gun in here,” he said in the video.
“At first glance, it looked real but as soon as I picked it up I realized it was just a pellet gun. But even despite that, this is right at the top of the list of the craziest things I’ve found in a vehicle before.”
The cleanup turned out to be a huge job
Fortunately, as the gun turned out to be a pellet gun, Mitch didn’t need to call the authorities.
He was able to return to the job in hand and what a job it turned out to be.
Mitch tackled the outside with the help of a pressure washer, which revealed that the Ford had some serious rust issues and iron contamination.
Inside, the F-150 was strewn with rubbish and debris including CDs, sandpaper, rags, paperwork, and rags, while the floor was covered with mud.
However, after a mammoth 14 hours of cleaning, picking up, scrubbing, vacuuming, and jet-washing the Ford looked a million times better.
Definitely one of the more satisfying clean-ups we’ve seen in a while – and one of the weirdest.
