Ford gifts Detroit Lions wide receiver an F-150
Nobody has ever accused the Ford Motor Company of not being smart.
And the iconic American brand has proven to be exactly that.
That is because Ford has recently gifted an NFL rookie an F-150 Lightning truck.
For those who are unaware, the Ford family is influential in far more than just the car industry.
Since 1963, the Ford family has also owned the Detroit Lions of the NFL.
The Lions, who are reigning NFC North champions, play their home games at Ford Field.
And it is an NFL rookie who is the most recent recipient of a gift from the brand.
Isaac TeSlaa is a rookie wide receiver for the Detroit Lions; he is also a native of Michigan.

The Hudsonville-born star was recently gifted a brand-new F-150 Lightning truck.
Ford delivered the truck to TeSlaa ahead of the game against the Cleveland Browns on September 28th.
In a statement to the Detroit Free Press, TeSlaa said being a part of the team, as well as Ford, is a dream come true
“I was thrilled when Ford approached me,” TeSlaa said.
“Growing up, I always dreamed of playing at Ford Field, and now that I’m in the league, it feels full circle.
“I’ve been a Ford fan my whole life, and I’m excited to be driving my new F-150 Lightning. I’m excited to keep chasing this dream and see where it takes me.”
Isaac TeSlaa becomes a human highlight reel
For those among you who aren’t football fans, you might be wondering what all the hype is about.
Well, when it comes to Isaac TeSlaa, the hype is very real indeed.
The Michigan native was drafted by his home state Detroit Lions in the third round (70th overall) of the 2025 NFL draft.
During his NFL debut against the Chicago Bears – the Lions’ major NFL North rival – TeSlaa did something spectacular.
He caught his first professional NFL reception on a throw from Jared Goff – and caught it one-handed.
The following week, TeSlaa did something even more extraordinary.

He caught his first NFL touchdown pass against the Green Bay Packers – and again, caught it one-handed.
TeSlaa’s teammate – and first-team All Pro – Amon Ra St. Brown joked that he would have to buy him a car if he made another one-handed catch.
Thankfully, Ford stepped in and saved St. Brown the trouble.
His name might be TeSlaa, but Isaac is a Ford fan through and through.
