Bugatti has a real habit of redefining what the word ‘impossible’ means.

The French brand has become one the kings of the hypercar world.

First it was the Veyron… then it was the turn of the Chiron, and now, the Tourbillon is set to turn the motoring world upside down.

It also comes with some truly bonkers equipment.

Upcoming Bugatti Tourbillon redefines the hypercar

But before we get into the ridiculousness of the new hypercar’s interior, let’s talk some numbers first.

As we’ve covered before here on Supercar Blondie, the new Tourbillon will serve as a successor to the mind-bendingly good Chiron.

Slated for release in 2026, Bugatti’s new flagship supercar will run on a Cosworth-developed, 8.3-liter, V16 hybrid heart.

The total sum of this hybrid hyperpower comes to a truly staggering figure – 1,775HP.

And with the power of the Tourbillon, Bugatti really is starting to approach video game numbers at this point.

Swiss-watch standard of quality in Tourbillon dials

As we mentioned, the fun doesn’t stop there – or at all, actually.

We haven’t even started on the interior yet. And trust us, it’s as crazy as you think it is.

There’s actually a very good reason for France’s newest flag-flyer has this particular name.

The word actually refers to the Tourbillon mechanism, a balancing structure used in luxury watches.

The automaker commissioned Swiss watchmakers Concepto Watch Factory to create the dashboard for the Tourbillon.

Essentially, Concepto have built a functioning Swiss watch into Bugatti’s electronic systems.

The system also has four Faulhaber stepper motors – and they cost $600 each.

The dashboard actually contains over 600 custom-designed components, each requiring the elite precision found in high-end Swiss watches but on a much larger scale than normal.

Concepto had a real challenge on their hands – when Bugatti first approached the team, they thought they were simply producing a single dial, not the entire dashboard.

Sadly, you won’t be able to wear the Tourbillon’s dashboard on your wrist, but you will certainly be able to tell the time in minute detail.
