It’s rare to get any real-world achievements when you play video games, but this gamer made history by getting a free customized electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class by playing League of Legends.

The multiplayer online battling game has been around for 15 years, and its creator, Riot Games, has just inducted their second-ever member into the Hall of Legends.

Thanks to Riot Games’ partnership with Mercedes, the newest Hall of Legends member gets a brand new EV Mercedes-Benz G-Class to celebrate.

Despite never having won a world championship, the lucky gamer has had an honor bestowed on him that only one person ever has before. And we don’t think the first guy even got a car.

The world of gaming is a lot more vast than most people realize. So those outside of the bubble might not even know that there are enormous international gaming tournaments or even pro-players.

When gamers are successful in-game, they rarely see that success manifest in the real world. But players of the 15-year-old multiplayer online battle game League of Legends are being treated this year.

The winner of the LOL world championships can win $5 million, and the game’s creator, Riot Games, has announced the induction of a second member into their Hall of Legends.

Jian Zìháo, better known by his gamer tag ‘Uzi’, is one of the most prolific players of the game. But he’s also never won a world championship.

Despite never having tasted victory, he was the first pro player to reach 500 games. He also represents the Chinese National Team in championships.

Even more exciting for the gamer, thanks to Riot Games’ partnership with Mercedes-Benz, along with the highest honor in League of Legends, he also got a Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ tech.

The G-Class is customized with the coolest engraved Hall of Legends door handles and a gold paint finish, making it the only G-Wagen to feature this color in China.

Even though Uzi has never become a champion, he’s been given a unique and special title that only one other has. And we still don’t know if his predecessor got a G-Wagen.
