Viral TikTok video is an incredible look into F1’s past

A video from TikTok has been going incredibly viral this past weekend.

In fact, at the time of writing, the video in question has 474,000 likes and nearly 2,000 comments.

So, what kind of video could have captured the imagination in such a way?

Well, it is brilliant – especially for those of us who are addicted to motorsport.

The video in question comes to us from Lea Frentzen on TikTok.

It begins by opening a set of double doors into what appears to be an alternate universe.

Two real-life cars dominate the floor space – one in an all-black livery, the other in an iconic yellow, Benson & Hedges livery.

As a matter of fact, it appears to be an old Jordan Grand Prix F1 race car.

The black livery car looks suspiciously like a 1994 Sauber Mercedes C13 F1 car.

Lea’s video continues to pan around the room – and it’s heaven on Earth for F1 fans.

Hundreds of race caps are stored in this room, as are more than a few winners’ prizes.

Shelves are filled with trophies, and dozens of race suits are hung up directly underneath.

It is an incredible time capsule that is more than worth your time in checking out.

Ex-Formula 1 star stores his things here

But who is the person who stored all of these things in this room?

It is probably a little obvious to say that it’s an ex-Formula 1 driver.

But which former driver is responsible for all of this?

That would be one Heinz-Harald Frentzen.

The German driver competed among the world’s elite from 1994 to 2003.

Frentzen got his shot at F1 with the Sauber team in 1994, making his debut at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The German remained with Sauber from 1994-1996, scoring several points finishes in his last season.

For the 1996 season, Frentzen joined Williams, replacing reigning world champion Damon Hill.

Following his time at Williams, the German would further ply his trade with Jordan, Prost, and Arrows.

In 1999, Frentzen powered to third in the overall standings with the Jordan Grand Prix car.

He finished only behind Mika Hakkinen and Irishman Eddie Irvine.

This is definitely one of the coolest areas of memorabilia that we have ever seen.
