If you want to own a piece of automotive history, the team over at SBX is currently selling a 1987 Porsche 911 which was driven by Ayrton Senna – he even autographed it.

Ayrton Senna was one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time, winning three world titles, 41 races, and taking 65 pole positions.

He had a few amazing cars in his collection, and he also drove and signed this 1987 Porsche 911.

The car has now been passed to us at Supercar Blondie to auction, via SBX Cars, giving you a chance to own a very cool piece of history.

This really was driven by Senna

This Porsche 911 was built in 1987, and it is a Carrera Cabriolet.

The odometer shows it has just 46,268 miles on the clock, and it is finished in a gorgeous Silver Metallic.

Currently, the sports car belongs to someone in Portugal, who is offering the car with all sorts of documentation.

This includes the restoration documentation, service records, registration paperwork, and keys.

The car is most famous for being driven by Ayrton Senna, and he would regularly take it out on visits to Portugal.

Most of these took place during the off-season when the F1 racing calendar had been completed that year.

The F1 legend couldn’t license it in his name.

So it was plated and housed by Senna’s close friend, Antonio Carlos de Almeida Braga.

Senna signed the Porsche on the back of a seat

Senna signed the car himself, inscribing his signature on the back of the driver’s seat.

That signature is still there in 2025 and will surely only add to this sports car’s value.

In the 2010 film Senna, the car is seen at the very end of the credits with the F1 legend driving off in it.

Under the hood, the Porsche has a 3.2-liter air-cooled flat-six engine making 217hp and 195lb-ft of torque.

The transmission is a five-speed manual, and the sports car also has four-wheel disc brakes.

It really is an immaculate example of a Porsche 911, with it preserved well and with so few miles on the clock.

With such a famous name associated with it, we expect this particular 911 to attract a lot of attention.
