A Facebook Marketplace prank has gone viral after a buyer showed up in a helicopter to collect items he had negotiated online.

The buyer had been in touch with several sellers on Facebook Marketplace and made very lowball offers on what they were selling.

He then asked them to meet in a field for the pickup, where he arrived by helicopter instead of a car.

The sellers were visibly shocked, and none of them expected the exchange to unfold that way.

Facebook Marketplace deal takes a sharp turn

The joke lands immediately because of the contrast.

Sellers spent time negotiating small price differences on Facebook Marketplace, only to watch a helicopter touch down nearby moments later.

One seller summed it up plainly during a negotiation, saying, ‘If you’ve got a helicopter, you can afford 120 bucks.’

Sellers react in different ways.

Some laugh straight away. Others pause, clearly trying to process what is happening.

One seller stands quietly holding a boombox while the helicopter idles behind him, unsure whether to question it or just finish the deal.

The negotiations continue face-to-face, often mirroring the messages.

At one point, the buyer pushes again on price, prompting the seller to respond that it is hard to feel sympathy when someone arrives by air after claiming to cut costs.

The video was published on YouTube by Misfit Minds, who described it as the finale to their Facebook Marketplace prank series.

Why Marketplace keeps appearing in viral videos

This is not the first time Facebook Marketplace and helicopters have collided in strange ways.

We recently covered a story where a late-night scroll through online listings ended with an impulsive helicopter purchase.

In that case, a YouTuber bought a decommissioned helicopter listed on Facebook Marketplace.

The aircraft was not airworthy, arrived without its blades attached, and was never intended to fly again.

That buyer later joked that it would become lawn decoration once he decided where to put it.

So, the next time you arrange a pickup on Facebook Marketplace, it may be worth checking whether there is room nearby for a helicopter to land.
