Ferrari is a company that isn’t exactly short on excellent cars.
In fact, it’s very rare to find one of its cars that fits the term ‘underrated.’
However, Iranian-American businessman and real estate mogul Manny Khoshbin may have just driven one.
The CEO just uploaded a video on his YouTube channel featuring that car, and it’s well worth a watch.
Ferrari 296 GTS: The most underrated modern Ferrari?
The Ferrari 296 GTS is a unique car with a fascinating story.
For one thing, it’s a plug-in hybrid, so it’s a real indicator of where Ferrari’s future focus could be.
The 296 GTS has a 3.0 liter V6 and a massive electric motor.
Upon going live for sale, it was marketed by the Maranello brand as the first six-cylinder Ferrari since the days of the Dino brand.
A strong heritage to follow, indeed.
This particular car is the drop-top variant of the 296 GTS, which is the standard, hard-top version.
Manny Khoshbin takes 296 for a spin
With that all being said, Manny Khoshbin decided to experience it for himself.
Collaborating with fellow YouTuber Pete Mitchell, who decided to bring him his 296 GTS, Khoshbin decided to test the 296 GTS first-hand.
After being shown the different controls and settings, Khoshbin and Mitchell drive out of the gated community before hitting the open road.
When he first accelerates, Manny is taken aback.
“This thing is a rocket!”, he exclaims.
After taking it for a blast on the highway, Manny and Pete return back to the gated estate, massive smile in tow.
“You don’t even feel the gear changes”, remarks Manny.
He ends his video by claiming that the 296 GTS is ‘one of the best Ferraris”‘that he has ever driven.
Maybe the 296 is the most underrated Maranello model after all…
