Top Gear brought together three modern titans in an epic V12 drag race: the Ferrari 12Cilindri, Lamborghini Revuelto, and the Aston Martin Vanquish.
This was a celebration of the ‘daddy’ of engine configurations, a symphony of twelve cylinders for all the purists out there.
With a total of 36 cylinders lining up, the air was thick with anticipation.
The question was simple: which V12 masterpiece would claim the crown in a head-to-head sprint?

The Lamborghini Revuelto is the only hybrid
The race was conducted by the folks at Top Gear, who uploaded the video on their YouTube channel.
Representing the puristi with unadulterated, naturally aspirated power was the 6.5-liter Ferrari 12Cilindri.
Pumping out 819 horsepower and capable of screaming to 9,500 rpm, the rear-wheel-drive Ferrari is an auditory and athletic marvel.

In fact, Jeremy Clarkson recently took it for a spin, and he was pretty impressed with it.
Its rival from across the channel, the Aston Martin Vanquish, answered with a different philosophy: forced induction.
Its 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 delivers 823 horsepower and a mighty 738 lb-ft of torque, making it a proper piece of British machinery ready to overpower the competition.

However, the third contender arrived from Sant’Agata Bolognese, with a modern twist.
The Lamborghini Revuelto features a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12.
However, its power is boosted by three electric motors, resulting in an output of over 1,000 horsepower.

In fact, its speed was confirmed a few months back, when it reached an astonishing 230mph on the Autobahn in Germany.
One car dominated the V12 drag race
The drivers engaged their various launch systems: from the Ferrari’s complicated, self-learning traction management to the Aston’s simple ‘Sport Plus and GO’ mode.
The first run saw the Revuelto’s four-wheel-drive and electric torque leap off the line.
The rear-wheel-drive duo was left instantly in its wake.
Interestingly, the Ferrari and Aston remained neck-and-neck once rolling, demonstrating a close match in rolling acceleration.
The second race was marked by an arguably fairer start.
While the Lamborghini still rocketed ahead, the Aston Martin surprised everyone by pulling clear of the Ferrari, showcasing the unpredictable nature of massive power and traction on a drag strip.
The third and final race was the tightest, with both drivers determined to beat the other.

In the end, the Ferrari managed to narrowly edge out the Aston Martin to take second place.
Once again, the Lamborghini reigned supreme.
After three rounds of thrilling V12 noise, heat, and acceleration, the results of the V12 drag race were conclusive.
While the Ferrari 12Cilindri and the Aston Martin Vanquish traded blows and showed remarkable athleticism, the Lamborghini Revuelto was the undisputed winner of every single race.

In the end, there was no stopping its thousand-plus horsepower, and an all-wheel-drive system that made it a ‘rocket ship’, disappearing from the start line.
