The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport is back, and this time it arrives with a price tag and a sense of finality.
After months of speculation and leaks, Chevrolet has confirmed exactly where this long-anticipated model sits in the lineup.
More importantly, it arrives with the weight of being one of the final variants of the mid-engine C8 generation.
For many, this might be the sweet spot Corvette they’ve been waiting for.
Why the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport is a fan favorite
For 2027, the Corvette lineup spans a wide range of performance and price points.
The base Stingray starts at $73,495, while the newly introduced Grand Sport comes in at $88,495.

Sitting above it is the more aggressive Grand Sport X at $112,195, followed by the track-focused Z06 at $121,395.

At the top end, the ZR1 and ZR1X push into supercar territory with prices of $197,195 and $227,395, respectively.
The Grand Sport name has always held a special place in Corvette history.
Traditionally, it blends the best of both worlds by pairing the everyday usability of the base model with performance upgrades inspired by higher-tier variants.
It’s often blessed with wider bodywork and track-ready capability, without going all-in on extreme power.
That formula has made previous Grand Sport models fan favorites, especially for drivers who want serious performance without sacrificing comfort.

Orders for the 2027 Corvette lineup start soon
This time around, the stakes are even higher.
The C8 generation marked a major shift for Corvette by moving to a mid-engine layout for the first time.
Since its debut, Chevrolet has steadily expanded the lineup with increasingly powerful and specialized variants.
Now, with the Grand Sport and Grand Sport X entering the picture, the C8 family is nearing completion.

Recent reports suggest these could be among the final iterations before Chevrolet transitions to what comes next.
That sense of finality gives the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport extra significance.
It represents a refined balance of everything the C8 platform has become known for: sharp design, accessible performance, and everyday drivability.
The Grand Sport X, meanwhile, appears to push things further with added performance features and a more aggressive edge for enthusiasts who want something closer to a track weapon.
Orders for most of the 2027 Corvette lineup open on April 16, with the Grand Sport X following later in the summer.
If you want to experience the C8 formula one last time, this is your chance.
