This team of YouTubers decided that they were going to try and fix what they described as the ‘world’s worst Porsche’ in the form of a heavily used Porsche Cayenne.
After spending a meager amount, it seemed ridiculous to decide to spend any money on repairing it at all.
With a huge amount of time and elbow grease, they really threw everything at the car to see if they could bring it back to life.
The question remains, were all the renovations worth it?

The ‘world’s worst Porsche’
Edwin Klinkenberg and Will Chandler from the YouTube channel, Top Dead Center, bought a used grey Porsche Cayenne.
It was in awful condition and cost only £400.
Affectionately, it was referred to as the ‘world’s worst Porsche’.
Up until recently, they had been using the Cayenne for towing and grunt work and although it was in a terrible condition they realized they had been relying on it too much.
They wanted to give the luxury SUV a bit of a makeover and some TLC so that the hardworking car can get to 300,000 miles.
The Porsche was covered in dents and scratches, was missing the exhaust pipe and the bonnet hood kept popping open, so the team had taped it down with masking tape.
Were all of the repairs worth it?
The main issue for the team to deal with was the missing exhaust pipe, the exhaust debris was pumping directly into the front bumper of the car, melting it and causing it to hang down.
The team needed to fix the exhaust urgently as they were worried about getting pulled over by the police.
They didn’t want to sink a lot of money into the repairs, so spent £80 on a used bumper which was in a slightly better state.
The team invited Robin from Viking Detail to deep clean the car and he revitalized it, even cleaning the bonnet catch so well, it properly closed and stayed shut, meaning they saved money on the car repairs.
The team also upgraded the wheels and tires, making it far safer, as well as changing the oil, air filters, and spark plugs.
At the end of the extensive repairs, the car looked like a completely different vehicle, it drove better, and looked mostly new, even if some of the battle scars were preserved as a testimony to its hardworking history.
Here’s to 300,000 miles little Porsche Cayenne!
