A Florida man was arrested for a bizarre incident after he attempted to ‘surf’ his Ram pickup truck, before then telling the cops something wild.
Surfing is usually reserved for those with surfboards, but the owner of this Ram truck thought a pickup truck was a better piece of equipment for the job.
That led to the unusual sight of the Ram driving down a beach that was closed, and right around a ‘Do not enter’ sign to try and get his surf on.
Unsurprisingly, the truck didn’t start, and that led to the strange response the owner had after the cops arrested him.

Why the Ram pickup truck was taken onto the beach
The man in question was Jason Brzuszkiewicz, and he took his truck to Florida’s New Smyrna Beach.
It was spotted by police driving up and down the sand and into the water, with waves washing over the truck.
For whatever reason, Brzuszkiewicz felt his Ram would be better than a surfboard.
Perhaps he simply didn’t want to be as cold and wet as surfers can be.

But quite clearly, the truck was never going to surf.
After watching the situation with total bewilderment, the cops got onto the beach to arrest Brzuszkiewicz.
Incredibly, he had driven onto a closed beach, not paid proper tolls, and passed a ‘Do not enter’ sign.
And yet somehow, the actual surfing wasn’t the most bizarre part of this whole incident.
The excuse he gave to the police
Brzuszkiewicz told police that it was ‘not my fault the truck doesn’t surf.’
Unsurprisingly, the police didn’t take kindly to that as an excuse.
Bodycam footage showed Brzuszkiewicz also asking the cops if he could get into trouble for his actions.
They confirmed that he was facing misdemeanor charges, which could result in jail time.
In the end, he was charged with a failure to pay a vehicular access fee.
This morning, Jason Brzuszkiewicz drove around a closed gate marked "DO NOT ENTER" and accessed the beach. The rest was captured on witness video. Brzuszkiewicz was charged with a violation of Volusia County Ordinance 20-174 (8) (failure to pay vehicular access fee) pic.twitter.com/GUj9TDZuAJ

He was then transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail and held with a $200 bond.
It all probably seemed innocent enough to Brzuszkiewicz when he drove along the beach.
The next time he goes surfing, he will now most likely use an actual surfboard, and not a Ram pickup truck!
