A McLaren Elva isn’t the sort of car you expect to see sideways.

It’s a $2 million hypercar from McLaren’s Ultimate Series – the same family as the P1, Senna, and Speedtail.

But Alex Gonzalez didn’t treat it like a fragile museum piece.

He had it wrapped in bubblegum pink and sent it drifting for the ‘Gram.

The bubblegum pink Elva drift moment

Catching an Elva in motion is unusual enough, but seeing one sliding sideways in full custom spec is something else entirely.

Gonzalez’s clip shows the roofless hypercar pitched into a drift, tires howling as it cuts a surreal figure on the road.

For context, the Elva is one of McLaren’s most radical creations.

No roof, no windshield, mid-engine power, and just 149 examples planned worldwide.

The name itself comes from the French elle va meaning ‘she goes’ – a nod to Bruce McLaren’s open-top racers of the 1960s.

It was designed as an homage, but Gonzalez clearly had other ideas.

Interestingly, it’s not the first pink McLaren to turn heads – remember the bright pink McLaren 570s that sat untouched outside a London hotel for four years?

But while that one became a static curiosity, this Elva is the complete opposite – alive, loud, and being pushed to its limits.

Fans can’t believe the flex

If Alex Gonzalez’s drift was the main act, the comments were the standing ovation.

“I’ll say it again, I love this new generation of millionaires,” one fan wrote.

“Bro won’t stop flexing on us,” said someone else.

Others cracked jokes about guys too scared to drink coffee in their Lambos while Gonzalez was out here shredding tires in a bubblegum pink Elva.

Fire emojis, disbelief, praise – the internet crowned it the ultimate flex.

The Elva may have been designed as McLaren’s minimalist ode to racing heritage, but in Florida, it’s now the world’s most expensive drift toy.

And Gonzalez just proved he’s willing to push it right to the edge.
