A new car usually takes a little while before you start figuring out what you would change about it, but this Tesla Cybertruck owner needed just 24 hours.
The Florida man had barely driven his brand new 2026 Cybertruck home from the dealership before he realized there were a few things he wanted to sort out.
From the stainless-steel body to the huge amount of glass, he quickly discovered that owning one comes with a few quirks.
And one of his first decisions was a pretty expensive one.
The issue with his brand new Tesla Cybertruck
The biggest surprise for the YouTuber was just how quickly the Cybertruck EV’s stainless-steel exterior showed every little mark.
After seeing Cybertrucks on the road covered in fingerprints and water spots, he said he finally understood why so many owners choose to wrap theirs.
He had owned his truck for less than 24 hours and was already thinking about washing it.

The dealership had also applied tire shine, which had splashed up onto the sides of the truck and made the brand new vehicle look older than it was.
His solution was to get the whole thing wrapped in matte black.
He estimated that a quality wrap could cost a few thousand dollars, so it’s something potential Cybertruck owners may want to keep in mind before buying one.

The Florida heat created another problem
The truck’s huge glass roof and windows were another thing he quickly noticed.
The owner lives in Florida, where temperatures can reach around 95 degrees Fahrenheit, and he had configured the Tesla app to cool the cabin when it got too hot.
While the Cybertruck was sitting in his driveway, he noticed the air conditioning had kicked in and the battery had dropped from 80 percent to 77 percent over several hours.

His next planned modification is therefore window tint, potentially using ceramic tint to help keep some of the heat and UV rays out.
He also discovered a few smaller quirks during his first day, including scratches on the wheels after removing the factory hubcaps.

Despite all of that, he said he was extremely happy with the truck.
The biggest reason he bought it was Tesla’s Full Self-Driving technology, which he believes has completely changed his opinion of the brand.
And after just 24 hours, he had already learned that owning a Cybertruck isn’t quite as simple as picking it up and driving away, sometimes there are a few fingerprints you’ve got to contend with.
