Ford lover tries something different with a million-dollar Bugatti Veyron then finds out price of an oil change

One Ford lover strayed from his usual GT and decided to purchase a 2008 Bugatti Veyron, but was about to have a shock when he found out the price of maintenance.

The owner wanted to have an oil change on his Veyron, so he enlisted the help of a trusted garage that he had previously used to work on his other Ford models.

However, it turns out that just swapping out the oil required a lot more than a quick day’s work.

From removing parts of the exterior shell to labor hours, the garage was about to be tasked with a big job.

This Ford fan bought himself a Bugatti and got dealt the cold hard truth of the oil change price

The Bugatti Veyron is a million-dollar hypercar and was launched back in the early 2000s, changing the car world’s perspective on speed.

“With over 1,000 PS, a quad-turbocharged W16 engine, and top speeds beyond 400 km/h, it redefined what was thought possible in a road-going car,” Bugatti stated.

But, with all the power comes a price to keep it in check, as one Ford lover found out the hard way.

Creator page of a car garage, appleautosmn shared how one new Veyron owner wanted them to complete an oil change as he’d previously trusted them with his Ford GT models, but the cost was about to blow his mind.

“You guys are working on all my other stuff, so I figured you’d be qualified to work on this,” the owner said.

The guy at the garage first admitted that it didn’t sound too challenging, but he was about to find out more than he’d imagined.

“That looks for 27 hours of labor to do an oil change on,” explained the dealership worker.

With a whopping 16 drain plugs and the requirement of removing a significant amount of bodywork to complete the task, the oil change was no ordinary routine job for the garage.

The dealership worker explained that working on the man’s GTs required insurance for the day, too, so the cost was set to be sky-high.

“I would assume that is going to be anywhere between $20,000 and $30,000 to get done just for an oil change,” he explained

The labor was set to be strenuous, and it would even require speciality oil, so the man had to check if this was something that the garage would want to take on.

After sharing the big Bugatti Veyron task at hand online, gearheads simply couldn’t believe the price of the maintenance upkeep.

“Yeah, the oil changes on the Veyron is the biggest reason I drive a 2011 Sierra Duramax,” said one user.

“How many miles does one get out of a $30k oil change?!! Feeling pretty good about the cost on my vehicles now,” asked one gearhead.

“I mean, if you’re gonna own a Bugatti and GT’s $30,000 for an oil change is probably pocket change for them,” added a third.

The hypercar has a powerhouse under the hood, and thanks to the timeless design, is often a highly sought-after vehicle for many car fans worldwide.

One man even sold seven cars to buy a Bugatti Veyron that was once owned by Justin Bieber and Lil Uzi Vert.
