This YouTuber’s friend found what he thought was a Lamborghini Countach in a storage unit, but things weren’t quite as they seemed.

Content creator WatchJRGo got called out to take a look at the car by a buddy who had discovered it.

However, it didn’t take long for him to figure out it wasn’t Countach – basically a second after seeing it.

So what was this mystery car?

If this car isn’t a Lamborghini Countach, what is it exactly?

It’s easy to see why the friend initially thought this car sitting in storage was a Lamborghini Countach.

The two have a lot of similarities in look.

However, a pro like this YouTuber can see the differences right off the bat.

This was in fact a Pontiac Fiero, with a body kit built around it to resemble a Countach.

He said: “This has got pretty good dimensions, they did an okay job.

“They even brought the right tires and the exhaust looks right.

“But the whole back end does look wrong, you can tell. This is all plexiglass and it’s all cracked.

“And the grille looks really wrong.”

To get a closer look at the vehicle required getting it out of the garage.

But with no power and no door handles, the YouTuber had to resort to getting the back panels off to access the battery.

Even that proved to be a challenge.

Once inside the car, it was clear that 12 years in storage had been surprisingly kind to this Fiero.

Certainly kinder than what had happened to this car attacked by a ‘bear’ in Los Angeles.

Inside a Pontiac Fiero

The Fiero screams 1980s with its white upholstery.

There’s a ton of speakers inside the door too, which would make for a killer road trip.

But on the whole, it’s looking remarkably spic and span, especially compared to its dirty exterior.

Not that the car stays mucky for long, as dirt begins falling off once the car is brought outside.

The YouTuber commented: “The dirt’s coming off like a sandstorm in the desert!”

Seeing it outside, he decided that the front looked ‘wrong’ and that he would no longer be interested in buying it.

However, he did concede: “It looks a lot better than other kits I’ve seen. Not terrible.”

Not exactly high praise.

But it’s certainly kinder than what could be said about the ‘worst abandoned supercar in America’.
