Richard Rawlings, the founder of Gas Monkey Garage, has announced that he is selling his entire car collection.

It’s a huge move, covering roughly 25 vehicles.

They’re up for grabs with no reserve, and believe us when we say, there’s some great gems in this collection.

So let’s take a closer look at what Rawlings is offering up to the public.

Why is Richard Rawlings putting his cars up for sale?

Contrary to internet trolls might think, Richard Rawlings is not selling off his car collection due to financial troubles.

“If you’re one of these w****rs that’s already on the keyboard going, ‘Richard’s broke and he’s selling. He’s bankrupt’. Well, you’re probably one of the idiots that think I went to prison,” he declared.

That was in reference to fake news headlines circulating through AI-generated videos.

He then followed this up with a hand gesture that had to be censored.

Don’t sit on the fence Richard, say how you really feel.

At any rate, Rawlings has nothing to prove to any of his internet naysayers.

Lest we forget, this is the guy who hosted ‘Fast N’ Loud’ and has one of the coolest car collections in all of Texas.

But now he’s selling it off, in what he calls part of a normal cycle.

Three years ago, he sold off 30 cars and bought a similar amount back.

So what cars are up for grabs this time around? Here’s a sample of what you might get your hands on.

1963 Chevy Impala

This car was built by Zach BCC, before being bought by Rawlings at an auction.

It plays host to a Texas Speed 408 blown LS motor, extensive engraving and etchings, a custom interior, and a huge stereo.

“This is probably more etching than you’ll see at a western store…maybe two western stores,” Rawlings commented.

1974 Volkswagen Thing

Next up was a Volkswagen Thing, bought locally after it was spotted at a show and the owner was convinced into selling.

“It’s got a killer paint job, a killer stance,” Rawlings said.

“This thing runs and drives like a dream. It’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever owned.”

1957 BMW Isetta

This Isetta was bought at an auction in Auburn, Indiana a few years back.

Rawlings’ wife loved it when she saw it, so he bid and won it.

Turns out this was Rawlings’ car, consigned earlier – just turned out that both Rawlings and the auctioneer forgot.

Whoops.

1968 Mustang Coupe

“If you consider yourself a Mustang enthusiast […] this is probably the coolest car in the collection right now,” Rawlings declared.

This car doesn’t need flashy colors to make its point – its aura is enough.

It has a straight six, factory AC, green-on-green paint and bias-ply tires, with a verified 1,036 miles on the clock.

1968 Barracuda Formula S

Only 131 Formula S cars were made in 1968, so that alone would make this rare.

But in doing his research, Rawlings found that this was a one-of-one, as it was the only one with a bench seat and a floor-shift 4-speed.

1987 Chevy Corvette

Sourced from Bring A Trailer, this Corvette is black-on-black with a removable top and only 1,600 miles.

Rawlings had initially planned to modify it, but ultimately decided against that as it was ‘just too perfect’.

Fair enough, why fix something that’s not broken?

1979 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT

This truck was completely rebuilt, including the suspension, wheels and tires, in addition to a big stereo.

“This thing is absolutely a brand new truck…with an old truck on the outside,” he declared.

The auction will go live on October 22 and close on October 29.

May the best bidder win.
