This glow-in-the-dark Lamborghini Aventador was seized by police just 48 hours after it landed in London.
The eye-catching Aventador was finished in a chrome purple color with orange glow-in-the-dark lines.
Its wealthy owner had the car brought over to London back in 2013.
But just hours after arriving, the car was impounded by police.

Much like your average daily driver, supercars are not immune to being ticketed, towed, impounded, and even crushed if their owners fall foul of the law; some police forces have even added confiscated supercars to their fleets.
Back in London in 2013, the wealthy owner of this glow-in-the-dark Lamborghini Aventador ended up having his flashy motor seized by police just hours after it arrived in the country.

According to the Metropolitan Police, the owner was driving the Aventador without insurance, so promptly took it away.
The glow-in-the-dark Lamborghini Aventador was placed on display with a banner that read ‘uninsured vehicle seized by police’ across the windshield as a warning to other drivers who might be considering driving uninsured.
One local who happened to see the car being lifted into position outside the police station admitted that seeing the high-end supercar being seized did give some folks a sense of schadenfreude.
“I was walking past when it was craned into the Scotland Yard forecourt and a huge crowd had gathered on the pavement behind the police tape,” they told the London Evening Standard.
“You’ve never seen so many smiling faces on a central London crowd of workers out at lunchtime. It made everyone’s day.”
However, the story doesn’t end there.
According to reports, the owner was later able to prove the car was properly insured and had his vehicle released back to him.
But just hours later was whacked with a Penalty Charge Notice. Ouch.
London’s illegal supercar crackdown
It will probably be little comfort to the owner of glow-in-the-dark Lamborghini Aventador, but he’s far from the only one to have his supercar seized by cops in London.
The Met Police recently launched a major three-day operation, which saw a whopping 72 supercars seized, with a value of around $8 million.
“Officers seized a total of 72 luxury vehicles, including Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Bentleys, that were either unroadworthy or being driven illegally,” the Metropolitan Police said in a press release.
