So, what exactly is this F-26 project from Gunther Werks?
Well, it’s actually something very special – and Porsche fans everywhere will love the heritage it brings.
Project F-26 might sound very military and fighter-jet-like.
And that’s because it kind of is – the design is heavily inspired by fighter jets.
It also takes direct inspiration from the era of the slantnose Porsche 911.
Project F-26 is built on a reinforced, 993-gen 911 chassis.

A carbon-fiber body, widened fenders, fixed headlights, and a downforce rear wing are all prominent.
It truly is a hybrid project that balances retro design with the most modern engineering.
Speaking of modern engineering – what exactly powers the Gunther Werks Project F-26?
Come closer and listen up – because this is the real highlight of this project.
Project blends the old and the new in one crazy package
Under the hood is a Rothsport Racing–co-developed, air-cooled 4.0-liter, twin-turbo flat-six engine.
This powerplant produces an incredible 1000hp, as well as 750lb-ft of torque.
All of this power is cooled by an enormous, ‘race-derived’ flat fan system.
This fan system is apparently able to provide double the air intake compared to a normal vertical one.
Old-school car fans will be delighted to hear that power is transmitted by a six-speed manual.

The interior of the F-26 very much matches the hybrid philosophy of the exterior design.
Exposed carbon is matched in equal measure by custom leather and Alcantara headliner.
A fighter jet-inspired steering wheel is contrasted by a wooden shifting knob.
Modern tech includes an Apple CarPlay system installed in the central display.
Gunther Werks is only building 26 total units for its F-26 project.
And each one starts out at $1,570,000 – a run for the purists, indeed.
