These guys took a plane from a NY hangar where it was left sitting for years and then managed to fly it home to Pennsylvania in order to rescue it.
The small aircraft needed a few adjustments before it could take to the air.
Once it was airborne, though, it did its job perfectly.
But this wasn’t the first aircraft to be rescued by the plane enthusiasts.

Lots of people dream of buying planes, but as you’d expect, they can come with a big price tag attached.
In fact, one woman from Texas who owns a Piper Cherokee 180 broke down the true costs of owning a plane. And, needless to say, it was eye opening.
Plus, a Southern Californian also bought a $30,000 plane with the process costing six figures. But despite the expense, was still happy with the process.
These guys though, decided to document how the rescue of a plane that was sitting for a number of years. And then actually getting it to run.
The plane in question was a Piper Comanche 250, and it was found covered in dirt in a hangar.
So, the guys over on the Rebuild Rescue YouTube channel decided to fix it up. And it worked out better than ever imagined.
It wasn’t their first rodeo, so they were well-versed in making planes great again.

The aircraft was in a hangar in Argyle, New York. But it needed a few bits of minor work to ensure it would fly safely, including a new propeller and programming a unit.
But once it was in ship shape, flying condition, it was time to head back to Pennsylvania, ready for its new owner to enjoy.
After last-minute checks and a mere four-minute flight to a different airport, it was clear the plane was in brilliant condition.
The Piper Comanche 250 was about to be given a whole new paint job by the new recipient so the slightly faded outside of the shell wasn’t an issue either.

On the final leg of the journey, the YouTubers were delighted with the way the plane cruised above the clouds.
One of the pilots explained that it ‘flew amazingly’ and also noted that it ‘feels pretty satisfying’ to fly.
