A YouTuber from the UK bought a Toyota Yaris project car for his friend, and it turned out to be the worst Christmas present ever for a couple of reasons.
Let’s just say it wasn’t an ordinary Toyota.
It had a truckload of modifications done to it and was also a looker.
His friend’s reaction to the gift was, well, what you’d expect it to be.

Toyota Yaris – the worst Christmas present ever?
Sam Hard from the YouTube channel Hard up Garage decided to go the extra mile when buying his friend a Christmas present.
The person on the receiving end was another content creator who goes by AdamC, so the gift really needed to stand out.
For context, Sam is an expert when it comes to finding rare and absurd cars.
He has also previously hunted down everything from rare exotic supercars to some of the most iconic cars in the world.
Fortunately for Sam, he found a 2002 Toyota Yaris T Sport that he thought would make for an excellent project car for Adam.
There was, however, one massive caveat.
You see, the Toyota Yaris was entirely rebuilt at some point in the past and now had a metallic bright-pink finish with ‘anime dolphin girl’ decals on all four of its sides.
As chaotic as that may sound, it wasn’t just a simple paint job and customization.
The project car was modified to the brim
Whoever created this frankenvehicle ensured the attention to detail remained impeccable.
Everything from the engine cover to the interior finishing and cabin lights were accented in pink.
On top of that, it also had an aftermarket exhaust and bucket seats from a Toyota Celica.
But the list of perks didn’t end there, as it also had Lamborghini-style scissor doors.
Although they looked pretty cool, they weren’t very practical because the hood wouldn’t open with the doors up.
When his friend Adam saw the car for the first time, his reaction was rather shocking.
He froze for a few seconds and said, “Right….”
It took Adam some time to absorb it all, but not long after, he said, ‘I gotta take this to a car show.’
In addition, the duo later found out that this Toyota Yaris project car was actually a celebrity car.
It was once featured in a British comedy TV show called ‘Ruddy Hell! It’s Harry and Paul.’
That would make it the second time Sam was working on a car associated with fame because he once found and fixed Snoop Dogg’s abandoned Cadillac DeVille.
All things considered, the worst Christmas present ever stood out, if anything.
