Having moved from England to Germany, soccer star Harry Kane sold his luxury daily driver and was gifted a new $78,500 Audi due to sponsorship rules at new club Bayern Munich.

Harry Kane scores goals for fun on the pitch, but is more of an efficient poacher than a flamboyant trickster.

So you might think that he wouldn’t be into flashy cars, and would probably opt for something as reliable and economical as he is.

But he does appear to have a taste for luxury wheels, which is exemplified by the $75k Audi that he was gifted by Bayern Munich.

Harry Kane gifted $75k Audi by Bayern Munich after selling Bentley

With record-breaking transfers coming to soccer every six months, and contracts reaching north of $300k a week for the creme-de-la-creme players, it’s very commonplace for these celebs to rock wild cars.

England Captain Harry Kane is no exception.

Despite being a humble character, the striker was spotted sporting half-a-mil watches during the World Cup and is known to have a good collection of British cars in his garage.

Including a Bentley Continental GT Supersports that was recently put up for sale.

But after moving to Bayern Munich last summer, the famed goalscorer had to leave his daily drivers behind, to adhere to the club’s sponsorship rules.

But it did mean he was gifted a $75,000 Audi Q8 e-tron by the club.

He had a pick of other top-of-the-range Audis, but opted for a family-friendly SUV after welcoming his fourth child.

“I decided on a family car. Now that I have four children, I just need the space,” he told the Daily Mail.

Some of his teammates, including Thomas Müller and Joshua Kimmich, opted for the $150,000 Audi RS e-tron GT instead.

The German club takes their Audi relationship seriously, too, having previously fined player Kingsley Coman for rocking up to training in a Mercedes G-Class.

He wouldn’t be the only soccer star to leave their beloved cars behind

Interestingly, the same situation was applied to Kane’s England teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Having controversially departed his boyhood UK club Liverpool for pastures new at Spain’s Real Madrid, he was forced to leave his daily driver, a Range Rover P530, behind, due to the team’s relationship with BMW.

There are no rules about owning different cars – after all, some soccer stars have splashed millions on some of the world’s most expensive cars.

But adhering to club rules is a must, otherwise players will be slapped with all kinds of fines.
