If you thought the new Ford Mustang was quick, think again, because Hennessey Performance Engineering has taken it to another level with its new Super Venom.
Created to celebrate the company’s 35th anniversary, this limited-run build pushes the V8 platform to its limits.
Only 35 examples will exist, making these supercars as rare as it is powerful.
It’s exactly the kind of build that reminds you why Hennessey has such a loyal following.
This heavily outpaces your average Mustang
The Super Venom is based on the latest Ford Mustang, but it’s heavily reworked to deliver supercar-level performance.

Power from the 5.0-liter V8 has been boosted by a staggering 70 percent, jumping from 500 hp to 850 hp, while torque climbs to 650 lb-ft.

With this kind of output, it’s placed firmly in territory usually reserved for far more expensive machines.
It’s not just about straight-line speed, either.
Hennessey has equipped the car with a bespoke ‘VenomAero’ carbon-fiber kit designed to improve cooling, aerodynamics, and handling.

Visual touches like exclusive ’35’ fender badges and a ’91’ hood graphic pay tribute to the company’s founding year, tying the car’s aggressive presence to its heritage.

Hennessey is looking to build a car that rivals Bugatti
That heritage traces back to John Hennessey, who founded the company in 1991 with a simple passion for speed.

Since then, the small tuning operation has since grown into one of the most recognizable names in high-performance engineering.
“What started as a love for racing and going fast has turned into something far bigger than I ever imagined, but the fun of building extreme vehicles is still what drives us every day,” said Hennessey.
“We’ve scaled the business while staying true to our roots, and looking ahead, there’s a tremendous amount to be excited about.”
Over the years, Hennessey has modified more than 18,000 vehicles, spanning everything from American muscle cars to trucks and SUVs.

The company doesn’t just focus on big horsepower numbers either, placing great emphasis on real-world performance.
Early success at events like the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb and runs at the Bonneville Salt Flats helped cement its credibility.
Later, the company pushed boundaries even further with the creation of Hennessey Venom F5, often referred to as ‘America’s Hypercar,’ capable of chasing speeds beyond 300 mph.

Today, Hennessey operates at a scale few tuning companies can match.
But the founder of the company is just getting started.
“With our 35th anniversary Super Venom Mustang, a new Hennessey hypercar on the way, and ever‑stronger relationships with partners like Ford, GM, and Stellantis, the future has never looked brighter,” he said.
