Car manufacturer Toyota once dipped its toes into the world of all things automotive luxury and offered a premium Gold Package feature to accompany its models.
The result of its efforts was status symbol cars – right down to the badges.
Forget the normal silver badge, it was time for the new kid on the block to take center stage and show the road a new look.
And even though it is no more in 2025, you can still get your hands on some vintage luxury.

Toyota turned itself Gold with models boasting a premium look for less
Toyota is a brand known for its models looking the part and performing well for a fraction of the price of a supercar.
From the Supra to the Camry and even hybrid powertrain options, the company really has covered all bases.

But, even though the models may not initially scream luxury from the outset, it turns out that in the 90s, there was a gold package emblem that gave the 90s daily drivers a more luxe feel.
You have to admit that it would make you double-take when passing a standard sedan on the road.
And, although it’s not a common occurrence to pass a gold badged Toyota on the highway in 2025, the company actually still does sell some of them online.

And, don’t forget that you can also customize your own car too.
The car manufacturer had made its mark on the industry
Thanks to Toyota’s engineering, design, and reliability, the brand has built a loyal customer base.
In fact, many classify the models it produces as ultra-reliable.
For instance, one fan has driven so many miles in his 1985 Toyota Tercel that each mile ended up breaking down to just $0.003 – talk about a steal.
Plus, to understand its customers even further, the brand has created a clever new app that is based on behavioral science research to ‘hack’ plug-in hybrid owners’ brains and help them make the most out of their models.
