This Hybrid Turbo-4 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser traveled 110,000 miles in a single year.
And it will fascinate you to see how it held up.
The story of this Toyota Land Cruiser comes to us from Pennsylvania.
And it might be the highest-mileage 2024 example you will ever see.

Unique tale of Toyota endurance
Today’s story is quite a unique one.
Because it doesn’t actually focus on speed, records, or performance.
It’s actually a testament to durability and endurance.
The story in question was originally brought to the online car community by The Drive.
It was then shared on the official Toyota subreddit, where it captured the imagination of many users.
So, why has the story of a Toyota Land Cruiser caught such attention?
Well, it’s because it might be the highest-mileage new model you have ever seen.

There are people who like the occasional long commute.
But then there is Shane Somers of Pennsylvania.
And Mr Somers has driven 110,000 miles in the space of a single year.
Somers runs a supply business providing life-saving supplies from hospitals to nursing homes.
He explained that, as part of his job, he picks up ‘an urgent item each day … and [drives] it long distances throughout Pennsylvania.’
As part of such a transport job, one needs a sturdy, reliable vehicle.
So, of course, a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser was the answer.
How has the Toyota Land Cruiser held up?
Somers opted for the Toyota SUV because he believes it to be ‘[Toyota’s] best vehicle for years since the ’50s.’
Far be it from us to disagree on that front.
The Pennsylvania native listed all of the work he has done in his year of ownership.
“No issues with the vehicle and no rattles or anything falling off,” he said.
So, after driving 110,000 miles in one year, how much maintenance had to be done?

The list involved 22 oil changes and tire rotations, three engine and cabin air filters, two alignments and spark plug services, and one engine coolant and inverter service.
That seems like a lot – until you remember that this Toyota Land Cruiser has done a lifetime worth of driving in just 12 months.
In fairness, this SUV has mostly been doing freeway driving.
But it is still a remarkable testament to the endurance and quality of the Toyota brand.
