Check out this video that shows the incredible speed of the International Space Station as it orbits Earth at 10,000ft.

Normally, the International Space Station orbits 1,312,000 feet above Earth, so it looks very slow from our home planet.

In the simulation, the ISS is orbiting along the 45th parallel north of the equator, and the YouTube Channel Airplane Mode picked the path to show the most land possible.

Check out the animation above and see how speedy the space station is when it is close to the planet we call home.
