The outlandish Jaguar Type 00 concept car recently came out of hiding in London, with the British company allowing it to be spotted out in the wild.
The Type 00 was the first design presented by Jaguar during its controversial rebranding, as it looked to chase down luxury cars from the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
After the initial unveiling of the concept, the car was seen parked outside a hotel in London, helping celebrate 90 years since the first car to bear the Jaguar name.
As you might expect, the concept car looked very different from nearly everything around it.

How the Jaguar Type 00 concept was spotted
Jaguar had placed the Type 00 in front of The Chancery Rosewood hotel in London.
The British company was marking 90 years since the 1935 SS Jaguar, the first car to bear the name.
Making it stand out even more was the decision to respray the concept.
Now, it was adorned in a very outlandish London Red, complete with a matte finish.

No matter how you feel about the design, there’s no denying that the red made the car stand out.
It has been over a year since Jaguar took the covers off the car.
So it has been a long time coming for us to get to see the real thing.
Will the real car be this outlandish?
It is very unlikely the production version of the car will look this striking.
The final car will look closer to a sedan, but the company aims to keep the long, imposing hood.
Of course, this new vehicle will be all-electric, and not powered by an internal-combustion engine.
In October 2025, managing director Rawdon Glover said the new car will cost around $130,000.
Initially, the production model was meant to be on show before the end of 2025.

Now, however, we do not expect to see the final product until the early part of 2026.
The company is slowly discontinuing its current models, with the F-Pace the last man standing.
This will disappear in 2026, and so too will any Jaguar with combustion power under the hood.
From 2026 onwards, all of its cars will be fully electric.
