The ‘Holy Grail’ Lamborghini Countach

There’s a lot to love about the Lamborghini Countach.

It’s no exaggeration to say that it changed supercars forever, thanks to the sharp angles, scissor doors, and roaring V12 engine which made it an instant icon.

Its a car full of wonderful surprises, with small details that got Supercar Blondie’s attention.

But even by those lofty standards, the LP400S Series I is something special.

The guys at YouTube channel We Are Curated were the ones to take a look at the car, and the host was beyond excited about the prospect.

“This is one of our greatest Lamborghini discoveries, definitely one of the best Countachs we’ve ever had the opportunity to purchase,” he said.

With only 6,000 miles on the clock and a picture perfect interior, it was too good an opportunity to pass up.

The Countach was found in Japan, and was a real treat.

Taking a closer look at this hidden gem

Walter Wolf, a Canadian entrepreneur, played a pivotal role in the development of the LP400S.

When he modified his own Countach, he inspired Lamborghini to take some cues.

There were three series of the LP400S, with the first remaining the most sought after.

Only a few of the originals remain untouched.

The one featured in We Are Curated’s video was bought by a California collector and went unseen for years in Japan.

The channel got their resident expert Chip to inspect the car, and he had high praise.

“Chip is traveling the world for us at any given point inspecting different cars for us,” the host said.

“And he’s 90 percent…super critical. He knows what he’s looking at.

“With Countachs, he’s seen a lot more bad than good.

“So to hear his excitement around this car further proves…he said it’s got to be one of the best [Countachs] left in the world today.”
