Jay Z is known for his expensive taste, but this Rolex might just take it to another level.

The rapper was spotted wearing the pricey piece at a star studded Fourth of July party in the Hamptons.

His wife Beyoncé, Drake, Tom Brady, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kim Kardashian were also in attendance.

What watch was Jay Z wearing?

There’s no doubt that many people partying the night away were wearing some expensive get-up.

But only the Roc Nation mogul can lay claim to wearing a 6270 Rolex Daytona.

Given that only eight were ever made, the odds of one of the other seven being at the party are remarkably slim.

The eight were made for the Sultan of Oman in 1988 and each were engraved with the Gulf State’s emblem.

Each watch has a 18 karat yellow gold case, a dial set with diamonds, sapphire numerals and a bezel decorated with baguette diamonds.

The last time one of the watches sold at auction in 2023, it went for a jaw dropping $4.2 million.

Jay Z’s love for watches

Jay Z is a watch lover through and through, and recently bought a stake in a luxury watch marketplace called Wristcheck.

The co-founder of Wristcheck, Austen Chu, was enthusiastic about the rapper’s involvement.

He said: “As an entrepreneur, JAY-Z has always been an inspiration to me.

“I remember growing up to his music — his lyrics not only introduced me to watch brands like Audemars Piguet, but also fueled my love for watches even further, as he bridged the gap between watches and pop culture.

“As the most influential celebrity watch collector of the 21st century and a certified G.O.A.T., his support carries immense weight both personally and professionally.

“It’s a testament to the trust and community we’ve built, and marks a major milestone in cementing Wristcheck as the go-to platform for watch enthusiasts worldwide.”

Other pricey watches worn by the Otis rapper include a $2.2 million Patek Philippe and a Tiffany-Patek Philippe worth $6 million.
