If you have suddenly found yourself in the market for a $500 million superyacht and want to get in on the luxury action, then give Amazon founder Jeff Bezos a call, as his incredible superyacht Koru is now up for sale.
The Amazon founder and ultra-rich businessman has been sailing around in the Koru since 2023, and the 127-metre vessel even has its own support ship following it around.
But now, it appears Bezos wants something a little more discreet and is selling the Koru.
And the word on the street is that this huge vessel is now too big for Bezos to manage.
This is why Jeff Bezos is selling his $500 million superyacht Koru
Reports from Page Six suggest that the Koru has become too big for Jeff Bezos to manage.
The luxury yacht, which has a likeness of his wife, Lauren Sánchez, on the prow, cost $500 million for the billionaire to purchase.

Logistically, though, the superyacht has become a nightmare.
It is 17 metres long and has a huge 230ft sail that prevents it from getting to certain locations.
In fact, the Koru is so big that Bezos couldn’t dock it in Monaco when he attended the Grand Prix.
Then there are the eye-watering maintenance costs, which are about $50 million a year.

But the biggest issue appears to be that the vessel attracts too much attention.
Everyone recognizes it, and everybody knows who is on it, so the paparazzi clamor for pictures.
It is perhaps little surprise that it is fitted with water blasters to ward off photographers on boats.
This is what Bezos is going to use instead.
The big question, though, is what will Bezos use instead of the Koru.
At the time of writing, Jeff Bezos has not put the support vessel, Abeona, up for sale.
It is possible that, at least for now, the Amazon mogul will use the support vessel as his luxury yacht.
The Abeona can fit 18 guests in nine cabins, and has space for 37 crew members.

It too has plenty of luxury onboard, and is much smaller and more discreet than the Koru.
That still pales in comparison to the main superyacht with its glass-bottom pool, three jacuzzis, and helipad.
Ironically, the helipad was added so Bezos could fly into places where the Koru was too big.
