Jeff Bezos is one of the world’s most famous people.
The Amazon founder is also one of the richest, with a net worth of over $239 billion.
Jeff Bezos recently got married to wife Lauren Sanchez Bezos in Venice, Italy.
And it turns out that he tipped the hotel staff $52,000 after his stay.

The wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos is one of the stories of the Summer.
June 2025 saw the Amazon mogul take over Venice over the course of three days.
His wedding to Lauren Sanchez Bezos attracted mainstream attention from the world’s press.
It also attracted some of the biggest celebrities and media figures in the world.
Bezos came in for quite a lot of criticism from local activists for making Venice his personal playground.
His generosity to hotel staff, however, has come in for universal praise.
During his time in the city, the mogul and his now-wife stayed at the Aman Venice.
According to Il Messagero, Bezos left the hotel staff a tip to the tune of $52,000.
That equates to around 45,000 Euros in local currency.
To his credit, Jeff Bezos is well-known for being a very generous tipper.
And it appears that the Amazon and Blue Origin founder hasn’t changed from that philosophy.
Bezos and Sanchez – together since 2019
The relationship between Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos has been the source of much discussion.
January 2019 saw Bezos confirm his separation from his then-wife Mackenzie Scott.
Less than 48 hours later, the Amazon mogul confirmed his relationship with Sanchez.
2023 saw the two get engaged after nearly five years of being together.
Their wedding was always likely to be an enormous, state-like event.
But even the scale of the wedding in Venice took some by surprise.
