The legendary John Wick Mustang Mach 1 is set to go under the hammer later this month, contrary to rumors that it had recently been sold to a private collector.
Last week, rumors began to swirl that the John Wick Mustang Mach 1 had been snapped up in a private sale.
However, the car is set to hit the auction block on November 25, meaning that the rumored sale is unlikely to have actually occurred.
So, if you fancy getting your hands on a bit of movie history and thought you’d missed out, now is your chance.

The John Wick Mustang Mach 1 is one of five made for the movie
Cars that have appeared on TV and in movies can often pop up at auction, like the two that appeared in a recent Superman movie, or ones that featured in the Fast and Furious franchise.
Now, a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 that was used on-screen in the 2017 flick John Wick 2 is set to go to a new owner.

The stunning ‘Stang is chassis number 9T02M168028 and is one of five built for the movie.
Those of you who have seen the John Wick movies will know that the titular character was a huge Mustang fan and could often be seen tearing through the streets in his beloved car.
In the movie, Wick actually drove a Boss 429, but as that car was a bit too big and heavy for the sort of high-adrenaline scenes the flick demanded, the decision was made to use a Mach 1 instead.
This particular Mustang Mach 1 was driven by Keanu Reeves in ‘an impressive car chase’, according to the listing on Bonhams.
As well as the beautiful Mustang, the winner will also get themselves a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Gerard F. Immersi to prove the car is the real deal.
Earlier this month, it had been rumored that the car had been sold to a private buyer for $500,000.
However, that doesn’t appear to be the case, and Bonhams has placed an estimate of between $115,800 and $231,700 on the car.
The Mustang isn’t the only famous car set to go under the hammer
The John Wick Mustang Mach 1 isn’t the only famous car that is up for auction.
The lot is part of The Movie Cars Collection, which also includes cars from Back to the Future, RoboCop, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

There’s also a bunch of cars from the Fast and Furious movie franchise, including a 1970 Dodge Charger, a 1971 Chevrolet Monte-Carlo, and a 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII.
So, there’s a real chance to own a bit of cinematic history.
