The whole idea sparked when Karl-Anthony Towns asked Jordyn what car she’d pick for a day, then admitted his answer wouldn’t be anything flashy.
Just his mom’s old truck.
It was the car he grew up loving, the one tied to Jackie Cruz-Towns, who passed away in 2020.
And with that, Jordyn quietly got to work.
She spent months hunting down the same model, shipping it across the country, and getting it fixed up.
And on November 15, she surprised him with it.
The restored truck rebuilt exactly how he remembered it.
She posted a photo of them standing beside it, paired with a childhood shot of Towns and his mom with the original.
In a clip from the day, he took it for a spin and couldn’t contain himself.
“So fire,” he said, beaming behind the wheel.
“This is the best thing ever.”
A big birthday, a bigger gesture.
