Kai Cenat’s newest watch cost him $280,000 and looks seriously trippy, to the point where you might think it was broken.

Watches – like most things in life – are a matter of personal taste.

For YouTuber Kai Cenat, his taste in wrist accessories seems to be leaning towards the surreal.

A watch straight out of a Salvador Dali painting

The 22-year-old is renowned for his love of fancy watches.

You’d be hard-pressed to find an Instagram post of his that doesn’t show him flashing his latest purchase.

Whether or not it matches up to Drake’s jaw dropping 143 watch collection remains to be seen.

And this watch was no exception – though I can imagine it generated a lot more comment than usual.

Cenat’s watch, shared to Instagram during a photo dump from his time in Paris, looks like something straight out of a Salvador Dali painting.

For those who aren’t big on art, his paintings often depicted clocks melting.

And whilst Cenat’s watch is certainly not melting away, it’s shape could indicate that to the untrained eye.

Rather than the standard circular shape you’d get from watch, this one could be best described as bean shaped.

This is a Cartier Crash watch, which costs $280,000.

It’s a rare find and is highly desired by watch buffs.

It’s a conversation starter, that’s for sure.

Another conversation starter would be ‘Hey, my watch got eaten by a cow’, which can be used by one man funnily enough.

Kai Cenat’s fans react to his watch

Cenat has a huge online platform, with more than 10 million people following him on Instagram.

So naturally, there were a lot of eyeballs on this Cartier, and with that came a lot of comments.

Most people seemed to be fans of it – or at the very least, they were stunned by it.

One fan wrote: “Wtf is that watch [it] is magnificent.”

Another remarked: “That watch is nuts,” as someone else joked: “Had a stroke trying to understand that watch.”

Elsewhere, the watch was branded ‘drunk’.

So all in all, it seemed people either loved it or found it amusing.

Whether that is what Kai was going for or not, you’d have to ask him.
